Biography

Summer Book, a Florida native, embarked on her legal journey at Nova Southeastern University, where she obtained her Juris Doctor degree and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2023. At NSU, Summer was an active member of the Nova Trial Association and the Student Bar Association as she consistently demonstrated her unwavering dedication to the legal profession and educational advocacy.

Prior to joining the firm, Summer volunteered her time as a Guardian Ad Litem, where she passionately championed the rights of children. Her internships with the Department of Children and Families and a Family Court Judge further refined her skills in protecting society's most vulnerable members. She further honed her legal knowledge during her time in the Disability Inclusion and Advocacy Law (DIAL) Clinic, where she worked to promote equitable access to quality education and legal services.

Complementing her legal pursuits, Summer also acquired valuable experience in the areas of Student Conduct and Title IX. Her well-rounded background equips her with a nuanced understanding of the legal complexities within the educational landscape. Coming from a large family of educators spanning from pre-K to higher education, Summer's commitment to students, educators and their families is deeply ingrained.

Beyond her legal endeavors, Summer enjoys traveling with her husband and their beloved rescue dog, Tucker.
